Key Responsibilities:
Records and reconciles data for the purpose of updating databases, logs, and ledgers. Tasks may include data entry, recording and tracking data, preparing journal entries, and compiling data.
Assists with month-end and year-end closing processes for the purpose of balancing and reconciling accounting records. Tasks may include reconciling accounts payables sub ledgers, accounts receivable sub ledgers, and bank statements monthly. Assists with year-end and Kansas Insurance Department audits as needed, and quarterly and annual regulatory reports for Kansas and Missouri Insurance Departments as needed. Assists with financial statement variance analysis.
Posts entries to appropriate accounts for the purpose of updating the general ledger. Tasks may include reviewing and verifying reports, data entry, recording and tracking, compiling data, completing forms, checking numbers and payments for accuracy.
Handles calls regarding billing, COBRA, and accounts payable inquiries for the purpose of sharing and obtaining information and maintaining accurate records. Tasks may include retrieving files and other information.
Performs general finance duties for the purpose of supporting department objectives. Tasks may include preparing and mailing individual billing statements, preparing ASO billings and documentation, preparing cash reports, and preparing accounts payable checks.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required
- 2 years of experience in general accounting strongly preferred
- 10-key skills with an error rate of 5% or less required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and/or remote home office setting
