Job Description

Summary/objective:

This role will serve as the primary first point of contact for film buyers and bookers assigned by Theatrical Sales Manager. They will offer heavy support to the theatrical team by leading initial outreach, negotiation, communication, relationship-building, and bookings of outside parties. They will do so in the best interest of Angel Studios and contribute to the vibrant world of cinema and make a lasting impact on the industry.

(Focus is on creating/building/testing/learning/resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame)


Essential Functions

  • Identify, contact, and book theatrical presenting venues for Angel Studios primarily by phone, email, and various forms of communication
  • Input bookings into software in timely and accurate manner
  • Build and maintain relationships across company departments and outside entities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new venue partners and expand the company's market reach
  • Ensure tasks and outreaches are strictly organized and up to date daily
  • Maintain positive attitude and offer optimistic solutions when dealing with difficult individuals or situations
  • Collaborate with other Theatrical Sales agents and manager to close deals and ensure finalization of contracts
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements on behalf of Angel Studios in their best interest
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market demands to ensure Angel Studios remains competitive
  • Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus.

  • Ability to feel comfortable on the phone and build rapport with various individuals in theatrical industry
  • Eager learner and ability to learn applications and processes quickly
  • Strong understanding and passion for film and television
  • Ability to work through long hours during and leading up to theatrical releases
  • Strong time management skills through multiple time zones
  • An exceptional listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details
  • Exceptionally organized
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
  • Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity.
  • Willing to perform an array of tasks both in and out of the office
  • Can take feedback to tasks and assignments positively and create better solutions
  • A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn how to use new programs
  • Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives.

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Strong interest in theatrical sales or movie industry


Preferred Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
  • Previous sales experience (B2B preferred)
  • Familiarity with theatrical sales industry


Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.

Physical demands - Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.

Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.

Travel required - Quarterly domestic travel may be required

Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
