Description

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Mortgage Closer in our Albuquerque, NM location.

Summary

The Mortgage Closer is responsible to organize, check and complete closing files. This position provides customers with smooth, timely and compliant closings for their homes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver Closing Disclosures (CDs) in a timely and accurate manner for initial CD delivery, revised CD for valid Change of Circumstance (COC), or CD balancing with title company.
  • Produce, collect, and organize closing documents for each closing file. Review each closing file to verify documents are present, accurate, properly calculated, compliant and sufficiently complete for closing. Ensure closing conditions are met.
  • Dependent upon applicant preference, audit and delivery of closing documents using a wet-signed, hybrid eClose, hybrid eClose + eNote, or full eClose with RON closing experience.
  • Work with Guardian employees, executives, and business partners (e.g., title company, etc.) to schedule loan closing in a timely, accurate and compliant manner. Inform Loan Officers of any expected funding conditions prior to funding.
  • Use a variety of computer programs and applications for document production, organization, research, communications, and other assorted tasks.
  • Meet ongoing deadlines for closing, verification, and monitor for expiring locks, etc.
  • Meet rules, obligations, timelines, and deadlines to comply with company policy, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs, and state and federal laws and regulations. Knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional loan programs as well as RESPA will be required.
  • Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
  • Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
  • Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At least 2 to 5 years of direct closing experience.
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must possess multi-tasking skills.

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and location.
