Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance service quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive work environment with staff.
  • Follow a proper procedure to record and store all lost and found items.
  • Must be able to operate the computer and hotel software.
  • Handle additional duties as needed.
  • Follow all hotel safety, policies, and procedures.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Education/Formal Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of housekeeping experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for scheduling and reporting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
