Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all general ledger activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accruals, and prepaid expenses
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription-based contracts
  • Oversee accounting for the UK subsidiary, including statutory reporting, local compliance, and coordination with external UK accountants
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and assist with audit and tax compliance
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with optimization of accounting systems and automation tools
  • Mentor and develop junior accounting staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a SaaS, technology, or public accounting environment
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Experience with international accounting or multi-entity consolidations; familiarity with UK accounting/tax compliance is a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail with a strong commitment to process improvement and accuracy
