Regional Sales Director - Medical Products (Mid-South US)

This as an exciting opportunity to join the sales management team of a rapidly growing, fast-paced, results-oriented, and innovative advanced wound care company. The Regional Director is responsible for achieving sales goals, devising and executing an effective regional sales plan, timely recruitment of open Account Manager territories and developing future management talent within the district. Candidate must be located centrally in territory - Memphis TN, Little Rock AR or Jackson MS.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions

  • Create and maintain a high performing team of Account Managers
  • Recruit and onboard open Account Manager positions within assigned region
  • Provide training, coaching and direction to Account Managers to achieve territory objectives
  • Improve Territory Managers’ sales skills through interaction during weekly field rides
  • Ensure proper territory coverage, account penetration and sales time allocation to emphasis products through monitoring of AM activities
  • Conduct job performance evaluations and outline development plans for AMs during each field ride
  • Interact with various other departments to communicate field intelligence including status of current plans of action, product reimbursement and competitive activity
  • Identify AMs who demonstrate leadership traits and work to create additional development opportunities
  • Identify AMs who consistently do not meet company standards and work with management to devise corrective action for success

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • 3+ years of successful medical sales management experience required, preferably in the wound care industry
  • Experience working with medical products distribution partners is a plus
  • Experience as a Sales Trainer is strongly preferred
  • Documented career prgression
  • Experience navigating a complex sales environment
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Must be located centrally within the applicable sales region and willing to travel 70%
