Within the Community Health Improvement department, the Career Pathways Program (CPP)
offers structured early career exploration and opportunities for youth and young adults
interested in the fields of health and medicine. The CPP Fellowship is open to Somerville
residents ages 16 - 25 and offers onsite training and work opportunities during out of school time

- Promoting local resources for patients
- Shadowing clinical and non-clinical staff
- Filing paperwork/documentation
- Educating patients about vaccinations
- Outreach activities, including going to farmers markets, social media
- Introducing mental health resources for those who are interested
- Providing patients newly diagnosed with diabetes with the clinic’s easy-to-read
- Attending staff and/or team meetings
