What You’ll Get
The Procurement Category Manager (CM) is responsible for an annual spend between $40M-$45M.
The CM is accountable for designing category- and sourcing strategy. This role addresses opportunities in terms of cost, cash and other efficiency gains and will be leading these initiatives to final execution/ implementation. Main categories are Commerce, Marketing, D&T, Facility services. The CM will be responsible for Stakeholder management, get your feet on the ground on the category you’re managing; be part of team call/ meetings to understand what drives the business. What next initiatives are their where procurement needs to be involved in. The CM will drive the savings- and cash agenda, through supplier negotiations, setting up e-auctions, tenders and contributes 2%-3% of savings of the category spend directly to the P&L of Lagunitas. The CM drives the Heineken HQ Evergreen savings agenda for Lagunitas. The CM is accountable for the full contract management cycle; contract negotiations, contract authoring, execution and periodically conducts business review meetings for proper contact execution.
The CM is primary escalation point for Lagunitas, Heineken HQ and the supplier. The CM supports the business in framing up business requirements, transforming requirements into a sourcing plan and executing the sourcing plan. Stakeholders for the CM are local and global suppliers, internal business stakeholders, Heineken HQ buyers, Heineken Quality, Lagunitas Leadership.

What You’ll Do
- Responsible for Lagunitas’ strategic sourcing process
- Align category strategies with relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
- Develops, monitors, and manages supplier performance initiatives based on business need, and knowledge of industry best practices.
- Identifies areas of risk in Lagunitas’ supply base and develops risk mitigation plans with business stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply, safety, and financial sustainability.
- Accountable for preparing, leading and executing contract negotiations and tenders. Negotiates on price, payment terms, scope and contract performance.
- Leads contract authoring and commercial contract redlining in conjunctions with attorney and supplier.
- Identifies and develops business processes to improve departmental effectiveness and ensure sound supply management discipline.
- Liaison with Business controllers/ supply planners/ business stakeholders to ensure accurate forecast and savings reporting
- Leads business transformation projects, end to end.
- Accountable for Initiating, leading and report cost- and cash savings
- Demonstrates strong project management and stakeholder management skills. Builds and sustain effective stakeholder relationship.
- Act as an escalation point and Subject Matter Expert for the internal business as well as the external supplier.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent required.
- Experience in sourcing in direct materials/ services
- Excellent negotiator with a demonstrated knowledge of strategies and tactics to achieve results in situations with varying leverage.
- Ability to lead change amongst a cross-functional group of executive-level and hourly colleagues.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills to enhance understanding of business performance and strategy.
- Procurement Services and Sustainability Dir.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, reach, twist and turn.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
