Position Summary

This role serves as a trusted advisor to the People Division leadership, organization leaders, and employees, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.

This role directs regional territory support (generalists) responsibilities that leads and define the routine functions of the People Support department including onboarding, HR compliance, policy and procedures, HR administrative duties, and culture ambassador.

Job Responsibilities And Essential Duties

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute Power’s people resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to People Support Specialist (HR generalists), management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manage the integrity and confidentiality of employee files and records
  • Train, manage, and develop People Support Specialist (HR Generalist) at Territory level to understand and execute Power’s People Division and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Partners with People Division Leadership to align People practices with organizational objectives and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Active participant in planning, documenting, and implementing People change management processes.
  • Documents processes that result in accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.
  • Collaborates with People Division Stakeholders on learning and initiatives which provides internal development opportunities for employees
  • Documents and communicates processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.
  • HRIS (Nitro) processing errors: Hire, Change Job, Term
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices,; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Strong ability to build business acumen to drive effective HR collaboration
  • Strong ability to manage change and guide others through it
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Apple iWork Suite
  • Proficient with the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • 3 - 5 Year experience Preferred
  • Prior related HR experience Preferred

Required Licenses And Certifications

  • SHRM CP/SCP Preferred

  • This position works in an office environment and not a remote position
