Description

This position is responsible for managing the supply chain team within the assigned facility. Developing and executing a compressive supply chain strategy in alignment with the product plan and operation strategies for assigned site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the alignment, development, and resource management of all supply chain roles within assigned facilities; direct leadership of Planners, Buyers, and S&R Supervisors at local site(s).
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Managers and Operation Managers to develop and execute a supply chain strategy to meet corporate objectives for assigned facility.
  • Manages supply chain performance from customer order to delivery, including but not limited to weekly/monthly monitoring KPI’s such as: PO performance, TO performance, Job performance, S&R performance, etc.
  • Analyzes and optimizes supply chain processes. Identifies constraints to supply chain success and drives change to eliminate roadblocks.
  • Oversight of root cause analysis to resolve part outages, mitigates risks, and prevents recurrence within assigned facility.
  • Monitors and adjusts supply chain activities to meet changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
  • Contributes in and aligns with manufacturing SIOP process to ensure supply is in balance with projected demand.
  • Overall Inventory Management for assigned facility including Inventory Value, Establishing Inventory Stock Levels, Slow Moving/Dead Inventory, and obsolescence of parts.
  • Monitors Buyer Spend, PCard purchases and price discrepancies for assigned facility.
  • Oversight of production planning processes throughout the month.
  • Collaborates with Sales/Engineering/Operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of ECO’s and implementation of new products through the Product Realization process.
  • Mitigates business risk by monitoring supplier performance, works with Buyers and Sourcing to resolve supplier performance gaps.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
  • Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Purchasing Management, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • 5+ years’ professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations, or a combination
  • Experience in minimum 2 functions within Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with direct and indirect employee groups.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, email, internet, etc.)
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Math, reading, and spelling skills.

Functional & Cognitive Requirements Of Position

  • This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree.
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
  • Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
  • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
  • This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
