Job Summary: The Mail Operations Associate will be responsible for performing the following tasks as assigned by the Manager / Supervisor to support the Mail Operations Department and routinely assist with prepping work for USPS.

Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Restock Mail Operation Department with supplies
  • Take finished work to Mail Operations staging area for proper mail verification
  • Assist with audited mail as needed (Placard pallet verification)
  • Do UPD USPS report verifications
  • Empty the privacy recycle bins once a week (grey bins)
  • Keep the Warehouse clean and free of the big debris
  • Report any issues with manual/electric pallet jacks
  • Provide input to maintain a safe, hazard-free environment
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement to develop an efficient environment
  • Follow instructions and complete all assigned tasks as delegated by the Manager/Supervisor /Lead
  • Perform job duties in a timely manner
  • Follow all safety regulations and legal documentation norms pertaining to work areas
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of Mail Ops and surrounding areas
  • Provide back up support to expeditor by consolidating and organizing dedicated insert/envelope racks.
  • Work as a team player with other functional departments within the organization
  • Be dependable, follow company policies / guidelines, and actively participate in company-wide improvements and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Attendance at work is essential function of this position
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time and carry out instructions
  • Must have the ability to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
  • Must be able to lift products from 25-50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be organized, self-motivated
  • Must read/write/speak fluent English
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • Must be flexible with hours including working carious shifts, overtime, and some Saturday work may be required.
  • Must be able to pass drug test, E-Verify and background check
