The CDEE Supervisor is innovative and resourceful in developing people and processes that result in the delivery of quality early care and education. CCEE Supervisor is organized and prepared, communicates in a professional and courteous manner and collaborates with team members and management. CCEE makes decisions quickly on available information and takes action to improve efficiency and productivity of staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the supervision of Early Childhood Education Specialists.
  • Ensures staff understands and adheres to policies and procedures as well as contractual obligations with CSS quality and curriculum providers.
  • Compiles and reports on all aspects of the Texas Rising Star (TRS) program and supporting quality initiatives
  • Prepares request for procurement requests and makes sound recommendation and oversight for quality initiative contracts
  • Identifies and documents process improvement opportunities and participates in project teams to develop and implement new ideas and /or process.
  • Develops and maintains a close working relationship with Texas Rising Star providers, vendor contracts, and other departments within child care services
  • Supervises Early Care and Education Specialists
  • Participates in local Early Education Initiatives and statewide as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned
