Career Team is looking to hire a WIOA Youth Program Manager who will be responsible for oversight and coaching to the Youth Career Advisors and coordinating with the WIOA Program Advisor. This position will approve enrollment applications, assess caseloads, and complete monthly report outs related to the WIOA Youth program. The WIOA Youth Program Manager role is performed under the supervision of the Deputy Director.

Your Impact on Career Team's Success:

  • Provide supervision and support for all WIOA Youth Career Advisors
  • Support and collaborate with the local Center Managers and Deputy Director
  • Collaborate with the Program Advisor on scheduling trainings to support the Youth team
  • Manage the team's active caseloads for served programs
  • Coordinate with the local team on Work Experience (WEX) opportunities for Youth participants
  • Oversee program referral pathway processes
  • Ensure that Career Advisors maintain accurate written case records in Work In Texas and files that are necessary to meet contractual requirements
  • Assist in developing and implementing casework service plans for complex cases
  • Support Career Advisors in removing barriers for participants
  • Work with the Program Advisor to ensure all staff are trained on all systems such as Work In Texas and are committed to upholding data integrity
  • Assess, manage, and maintain a caseload of new registrants as well as carryover participants
  • Track clients' progress in training and job search activities monthly
  • Case note all interactions with clients in Work In Texas in a timely manner meeting compliance
  • Build strong partnerships with community organizations
  • Visit Career Advisors at access points to ensure connectivity and strong partnerships
  • Develop and implement strategies to incorporate a focus on performance objectives in the daily operations of organizational staff
  • Help drive customer success and positive outcomes for contractual measures
  • Provide training and career coaching on assessments to help establish career goals aligned with the skill needs of area business and industry
  • Prepare and present reports of activities and accomplishments
  • Maintain accurate and thorough completion of required documentation and reports through the data management system
  • Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
  • Other duties and projects as needed

The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public relations, or community organization or development
  • 2+ years of experience in business, marketing, public relations, education, human and/or workforce development services
  • Knowledgeable about the WIOA Youth program and other workforce program requirements
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Knowledgeable about the local region and relevant partners (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
  • Ability to give presentations and workshops (public speaking)
  • Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel), PowerPoint, training platforms, and case management or customer relations software applications
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A Valid Driver's License
