Essential Functions
- Work closely with the Marketing Director on strategic planning for NYRA Bets and platforms, with a focus on retention, digital growth, and brand consistency across all customer touchpoints.
- Develop and own NYRA Bets’ organic social media strategy; write and schedule all content across platforms with support from the Content Producer and Creative Services. Manage real-time posting, racing coverage, promotions, and strategic initiatives. Track KPIs including engagement, reach, referral traffic, and follower growth.
- Repackage racing content (analysis, expert picks, editorial) into marketing-focused executions across social, email, and web. Provide clear creative direction and manage asset requests from the Creative Team.
- Plan, implement, and maintain daily website content via CMS (Wagtail). Responsible for publishing editorial, building promotional landing pages, updating racing content, improving UX, and driving organic traffic through SEO strategy and implementation.
- Collaborate with external developers and NYRA IT to implement new features and enhancements to the NYRA Bets website and app. Participate in UX/UI planning, content planning, and QA, and manage the marketing rollout of each release.
- Lead the planning and execution of retention promotions including calendar creation, budget tracking, legal and stakeholder coordination, CMS buildout, and post-campaign ROI analysis. Align promotions with business goals and betting behavior trends.
- Own the Creative Services Request Form process for digital campaigns — identifying needs, drafting briefs, providing timelines, giving feedback, and securing approvals.
- Monitor audience behaviors, wagering trends, and digital marketing best practices to inform customer engagement strategies across retention, promotions, and content.
- Set performance goals and KPIs across email, social, push, website, and retention campaigns. Track, analyze, and report results with insights and next steps.
- Utilize Optimove to manage a robust CRM and email marketing program — segmenting audiences, building journeys, and executing campaigns that drive registration, first-time deposit, handle growth, and reactivation. Deploy and evaluate performance of email, push, Facebook custom audiences, in-app, and on-site notifications.
- Partner with the Content Producer and NYRA TV team to ensure all NYRA Bets promotions and sponsorships are integrated across broadcast talent reads and graphics, with consistency across platforms.
- Identify and introduce new technologies or platforms that support NYRA Bets’ growth and retention goals.
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing or Business preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on retention, multi-channel campaigns, and performance reporting. Strong writer with proven ability to develop content across email, social, and web. Proficient in GA4, Optimove, and CMS platforms. Strong analytical and communication skills required. Experience with CRM platforms and digital tracking tools. Horse racing, online gaming, or sportsbook experience a plus.
- Primarily sedentary in nature as this is an office role.
