Position Description:
The HR Generalist will provide assistance and support throughout all areas of the HR department. This position will organize, coordinate, manage and participate in various projects and tasks for the HR department. The HR Generalist will also work directly with the VP, Human Resources, to support all aspects of their daily routines and fulfill a variety of necessary HR functions.

Position Description:
The HR Generalist will provide assistance and support throughout all areas of the HR department. This position will organize, coordinate, manage and participate in various projects and tasks for the HR department. The HR Generalist will also work directly with the VP, Human Resources, to support all aspects of their daily routines and fulfill a variety of necessary HR functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the HR team to enhance operational efficiencies, streamline workflows, and support overall department functions
- Periodically assess, implement, and maintain a comprehensive employee wellness program
- Partner with external providers to ensure accurate and efficient administration of employee benefits
- Provide support to employees on leave matters (e.g., FML, personal) benefits, and related inquiries.
- Respond to unemployment claims timely and represent the organization at hearings as needed.
- Maintain and update employee records within the HRIS system to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Oversee and coordinate worker’s compensation claims from initiation through resolution
- Assist employees and managers in navigating the performance management process and requirements
- Monitor and analyze performance management metrics to ensure timely completion of reviews and discussions
- Advise on HR policies, mediate disputes and assist managers in addressing performance or disciplinary matters.
- Coordinate the random drug screening program in accordance with company policy
- Coordinate employee service recognition program, ensuring timely acknowledgement of milestones
- Plan and assist with coordinating employee events to foster engagement and culture
- Assist with onsite audit preparations required by licensing, grant, and contract entities.
- Prepare and process educational reimbursement requests, securing necessary approvals.
- Facilitate employee separation processes
- Compile and prepare HR reports as requested
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile vendor invoices
- High School Diploma.
- Five (5) years’ experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or comparable role.
- Intermediate level experience using HRIS/HCM system.
- Bachelor’s in human resources or related field.
- SHRM OR PHR certification preferred.
- Experience providing intermediate level support at the executive level
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions, policies, and practices
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and related business and communication tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining and upholding confidential documentation and information
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work
- Environment: Office-based, Hybrid
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Travel: Occasional, Local and/or statewide
