Department Administrative Operations Employment Type Part Time Location Purdue for Life Foundation Workplace type Onsite Compensation $12.00 / hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide front desk coverage Monday through Friday during the receptionist’s daily lunch break.
  • Assist with front desk coverage during staff meetings, absences, or other times as needed.
  • Greet and assist visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff.
  • Support the Administrative Operations team with general operational tasks, such as data entry, document organization, and office supply management.
  • Assist administrative assistants with projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the office.

  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Must present a professional image.
  • Must have the ability to identify and determine problems, analyze information, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work on-site at the Dick and Sandy Dauch Alumni Center for all shifts.
  • Ability to work 2-3 days per week for at least one hour between the timeframe of 11:00am-1:30pm.
  • Ability to work 15-19 total hours per week.

Required Education, Experience And Benefits Summary

  • Must be a current Purdue University student with general knowledge of Purdue University.
  • Must have previous customer service experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office experience).
  • Prefer someone who can be flexible to morning of requests to cover during unexpected absences.
