Description

This critical role serves as a bridge between Engineering and Production, ensuring that fan coil and furnace products consistently meet or exceed established quality standards and specifications. The position provides advanced technical expertise across engineering projects and operational processes, leveraging specialized knowledge to solve complex challenges, perform in-depth analyses, and optimize equipment, systems, and workflows.

In close collaboration with engineering and production teams, this role contributes to both strategic planning and hands-on execution. It also interfaces with cross-functional departments to drive product improvements and operational efficiencies. Success in this role requires a high level of autonomy, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to make informed decisions that impact product quality and performance.

Requirements

Duties Include but not limited to

  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to tests and audits.
  • Prepare for and conduct internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Product Improvement:
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency
  • Lead Fan Coil product safety compliance tasks (Intertek, ALS)
  • Complete revision of Fan coil product safety compliance to 60335
  • Update NFS report to include Brand name products
  • Update NFS report to include Air handling products
  • Support quarterly product safety audits (Intertek, ALS)
  • Support Furnace product safety compliance tasks (CSA)
  • Lead Fan Coil product performance testing (AHRI, AMCA)
  • Lead annual fan coil performance testing
  • Lead annual air handler performance testing
  • Support Furnace performance testing (CSA)
  • Immediate Example: Direct drive fans Air Handler
  • Process optimization and cost reduction
  • Exercise independent judgment in evaluating issues, determining the severity of defects, and making decisions on product acceptance or rejection.
  • Make informed decisions on the implementation of corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Assess the effectiveness of process and procedures and suggest enhancements based on analysis and judgment.
  • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify the source of issues using independent judgment.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address and mitigate engineering and/or quality problems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to modify processes and reduce defect rates.
  • Analyze technical issues within systems, equipment, or processes and provide solutions based on engineering principles and experience.
  • Work proactively to resolve challenges that arise during project execution
  • Identify opportunities for improving efficiency, performance, and quality in engineering processes and equipment.
  • Implement best practices for continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service quotation support
  • Answering Customer Service questions related to quotations requirements.
  • New and improved products related to client and representative needs.
  • Support for EN Hold Customs and Undocumented requirements
  • Technical support for lab testing functions
  • ECM Fan motor programs
  • Organize ECM motor program data to better support EN Hold processing
  • Third party product testing (Midea, ERV)

Working Conditions

  • Environment: Based in a manufacturing facility with periodic exposure to operational noise, airborne particulates, mechanical systems, and varying temperature conditions. This role also involves frequent computer use and prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk production floors, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of standing or walking will be required.
  • Schedule: Full-time, salaried position with standard business hours. Flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend oversight during production ramp-ups, equipment installations, or urgent troubleshooting.
  • Travel: Up to 20% .
  • Safety & Compliance: Must adhere to all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations. Responsible for promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
