3rd Shift Production Mechanic II

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on mold machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Perform in press mold cleaning.
  • Block and unblock cavities in response to quality nonconformances
  • Assist in troubleshooting the molding process and all equipment.
  • Maintain work area
  • Assist in operational tasks as required to meet production requirements
  • Perform quality inspections on all molded components according to ISO work instructions
  • Complete ISO documentation per work instructions.
  • Certified backup forklift operator.
  • Conduct mold installation and removal.
  • Conduct startup and shutdown procedures.
  • Conduct color changes

Other Functions:

  • Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the molding process
  • Ability to troubleshoot the molding process, equipment, mold and material
  • Ability to operate molding machines
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to perform work at elevations up to 20 ft.
  • Ability to operate crane, pallet jack and forklift

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Vocational Technical School graduate or Trade/Military equivalent
  • Five (5) + years of trade experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Pass Standard Timing Model

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Team Player: Must be able to work effectively with others: M&O’s, Electricians, Mold Set Up, Tool & Diemakers, Management, etc., in order to solve problems and pursue continuous improvement opportunities
  • Flexibility/Adaptability: Must be able to work effectively in an environment where priorities and assigned tasks change quickly. Must show a willingness to make decisions
  • Self-Direction /Initiative: Must be able to work effectively with little direct supervision. Must be able and willing to make decisions
