POSITION: Division Director for San Antonio and Corpus Christi Divisions
REPORTS TO: VICE PRESIDENT OF THERAPY SERVICES
The Division Director, in collaboration with the VP of Therapy Services, is responsible for the development and execution of the agency’s strategic plan within the assigned operating division. This includes service delivery, revenue cycle, and patient/family satisfaction. S/He recruits, develops, manages, and retains members of the clinical and administrative support teams, providing oversight, mentoring and accountability to each team member.

The Division Director, in collaboration with the VP of Therapy Services, is responsible for the development and execution of the agency’s strategic plan within the assigned operating division. This includes service delivery, revenue cycle, and patient/family satisfaction. S/He recruits, develops, manages, and retains members of the clinical and administrative support teams, providing oversight, mentoring and accountability to each team member.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performance, profitability, and service delivery within the assigned division.
- Develops and executes a divisional strategic plan to meet budgeted performance expectations, analyzing and adjusting as necessary.
- Leverages available data and industry experience to identify various challenges and implement practical solutions – (i.e. measuring and monitoring business performance, evaluating market trends, process improvement, etc.).
- Facilitates continuous collaboration between clinical and marketing/recruitment teams to identify referral and staffing needs within the division.
- Works closely with recruiting and hiring managers to evaluate applicants; makes hiring recommendations and decisions.
- Identifies, plans, and executes innovative and relevant professional development opportunities for all teams within the assigned division.
- Supervises the annual performance review process within assigned division and personally conducts performance reviews for all direct reports.
- Sets, monitors and directly or indirectly enforces the compliance of performance standards for employees within the assigned division.
- Coaches and develops action plans to address deficiency in employee performance.
- Supports managers in assigned division with establishing performance standards, enforcing compliance and addressing deficiencies.
- Accountable for managing the coaching and corrective action process in the assigned division.
- Uses discretion with and takes precautions to safeguard sensitive personnel information.
- Reviews PTO requests, CE requests, reimbursements, etc. for direct reports, ensuring compliance with agency policies.
- Responds and takes action to address parent/caregiver complaints/concerns, as necessary.
- Ensures compliance with regards to supervision standards for Interns and Assistants.
- Serves as an agency ambassador to health plans, physicians, other members of the medical neighborhood, and to the public.
- Fosters collaboration between administrative support, corporate and clinical teams to enhance the service delivery experience.
- Ensures that all departments operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of the agency, by complying with policy and procedures, all rules, regulations and federal/state/local laws, which are concerned with the provision of home health services.
- Any/All other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice as a Physical, Speech, or Occupational Therapist in the state of Texas.
- Maintains valid credentialing as determined by his/her discipline’s national governing body as appropriate.
- Moderate proficiency with common workplace technology – web applications (such as Google Chrome), Microsoft Office, email, telephone, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to make quality decisions based on critical thinking and available data.
- Five or more years of supervisory/management (or related) experience required.
- Must be physically and legally able to operate a vehicle.
