Summary:
Support and assist the IT Manager with the credit union’s information systems department. The IT Assistant will provide technical assistance to our staff, install and configure hardware and software, and maintain our computer systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Requires a high school diploma with a preferred certification in Information Technology, Computer Science
or related field. In lieu of degree, two (2) years of equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience:
Requires 2 years of experience covering information technology systems and support.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities, Licenses, etc.:
Knowledge of Microsoft office products and basic networking skills.
Ability to communicate well, verbally or written, with co-workers, customers, community members and management.
Ability to comply with company and industry operating standards, safety standards, rules and regulations.
Ability to work with confidential information, materials, and files appropriately, professionally, &
discreetly.
Physical Requirements:
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
Ability to demonstrate and apply manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
Ability to view computer monitor or laptop screen for extended periods of time.

Ability to adapt easily to changing work schedules.

- Provide technical assistance to staff on hardware and software issues.
- Set up accounts and user profiles.
- Provide system maintenance.
- Respond to employee queries and requests to diagnose technical issues with hardware and software.
- Follow up with users to ensure their technical issues have been resolved.
- Maintain inventory of hardware devices.
- Other duties as assigned.
