Your Impact

The Logistics Coordinator is a vital member of the Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for inbound and outbound logistics. This team member will work closely with the procurement team and the distribution team. The primary duty of the Logistics Coordinator is to control the movement of raw materials and finished goods so that customers receive items when due.

What You’ll Do

  • Gather and create shipping documents
  • Gather and approve quotes
  • Invest in cost savings efforts
  • Stay on top of market information and tariffs
  • Monitor and track shipments
  • Assist in H.T.S codes and correct documentation
  • Assist in creating an internal export process
  • Audit vendor invoices and 7501 entries
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with drayage providers
  • Plan and oversee incoming container deliveries and update delivery status internally
  • Plan and oversee inbound and outbound international logistics and transportation
  • Comply with and enforce the company wide Safety Program
  • Work with your superiors to achieve financial objectives
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Assist in logistics reporting for all business units
  • Assist in creating CARM accounts and other import registrations
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ve Accomplished

  • Proven experience in logistics and freight forwarding
  • Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software
  • Experience in D365 is preferred
  • Experience in Expeditors order management software is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive planning skills and highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and Team-focused
  • Winning attitude and competitive mindset
