Requirements
Minimum Education -
- High School Diploma/GED. Technical school or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
- 1-2 years’ supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare or clinic setting.
- 4+ years of maintenance experience.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- Working knowledge of healthcare facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, medical gas systems (if applicable), and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call, as needed.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, ADA, Joint Commission standards).
- Proficiency in using maintenance software or CMMS systems is a plus.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors in daily upkeep of the clinic’s building, systems, and equipment.
- Plan and prioritize daily maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance in accordance with healthcare regulations and equipment specifications.
- Inspect work sites and completed work for quality and safety compliance.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories. Ensure all clinic systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, and emergency systems) operate efficiently and are regularly inspected and maintained.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies. Attends safety, health, and environmental regulation training as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Manage maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members to enhance skills and productivity.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and equipment upgrades.
- Prepare reports and present updates to management on maintenance issues and progress.
- Makes decisions on equipment and material needs for the maintenance department.
- Other duties as assigned.
