Brief Description

AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking an E-Commerce/Marketing Intern (AuthoraCare Hospice Thrift Store). This role will be partially on site at our Thrift Store in Burlington, NC. It may be a hybrid position with some work done remotely depending on the candidate's skill set.

This is a part-time Internship and is hourly non-exempt (approximately 20 hours per week). We anticipate this position lasting approximately 12 weeks. Tuesday - Friday, flexible hours between 9:00am and 4:00pm (evening remote work possible if desired).

Key Responsible

  • Design and implement a best-practice eBay strategy for the AuthoraCare Hospice Thrift Store
  • Create eBay postings of items for sale in thrift store, including staging, taking photos, posting on website, and writing product descriptions and listings
  • Proactively engage in SEO to optimize sales of online products, achieve better search results, and increase page conversions
  • Design a cost-effective process for packing and shipping items to customers
  • Work with team to improve and update current social media activity for thrift store
  • Develop a User Guide, documenting best practice for these processes
  • Collaborate with marketing team to generate additional community partners for thrift store donations

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Familiarity with online branding, search engine optimization, and online sales portals
  • 1-2 years experience with social media or content marketing preferred
  • Marketing, graphic design, or communications skills and experience preferred (academic included)
  • Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation.
