Job Summary:

RTX Corporation is an Aerospace and Defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military and government customers worldwide. They are seeking a Principal Specialist Application Support Analyst to provide comprehensive support for their applications, focusing on the Virtual Business Systems application, while also serving as the Scrum Master for the team.


Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced-level support for application issues, including troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation as necessary.

• Monitor application performance and system health, ensuring timely identification and resolution of potential issues.

• Lead collaboration with development teams to deploy new releases and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to users.

• Maintain and enhance documentation of support processes, incident resolutions, and application configurations.

• Communicate effectively with end-users, providing clear updates and guidance on issue resolution and system changes.

• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as required.

• Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications within the broader IT ecosystem.

• Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.

• Lead and participate in Agile SAFe ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the Agile framework.


Qualifications:


Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 5+ years of experience in application support or a similar role.

• Application architectures and related technologies (e.g., databases, middleware).

• IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) is a plus.

• Experience with specific applications used within RTX Corporation is an advantage.

• Agile methodologies, specifically SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), is highly desirable.


Preferred:

• Extensive experience with cloud-based applications and services.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools.

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to application support.

• Previous experience in the aerospace or defense industry.

• Certification in SAFe or other Agile frameworks is a plus.
