Summary
Independently practices Applied Behavioral Analysis services for direct patient services and behavioral consultation in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team for patients across the lifespan. Leads the development of programs to address disruptive behaivors in adolescent and adult patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Designs and implements professional training for medical service providers working with patients with developmental disabilities in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. May provide services across MetroHealth locations as needed for training or direct patient care needs. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications
Required: Master’s degree in behavior analysis or related field. Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA). 3 years of experience working with older children and adolescents with autism or other developmental disabilities. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques. Experience providing intervention and/or education to professionals and families on ABA principles. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to collect and analyze data to inform treatment planning and monitor progress. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: PhD Level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D). Experience in treating adults with ASD and/or working in a medical setting with an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals. Formal training and/or supervised experience in group intervention for significant disruptive behaivors including Intensive Outpatient Programs, Partial Hospitalization Programs, or Residential Programs. Training or proven experience in program development and quality improvement processes. Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required. May need to lift to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate face-to-face, via phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
