Description

SHINE Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for all preventive and corrective maintenance, including testing, repairs, and calibrations in the new isotope production facility, currently under construction. In this key role, the Maintenance Manager will work with facility technical staff to develop, coordinate, and implement maintenance strategies and detailed plans to ensure the reliability of this first-of-a-kind facility.

The Maintenance Manger will be responsible for building and developing a team of dedicated technical personnel capable of rapidly and effectively responding to facility and custom process equipment issues to ensure the safe, efficient operation of the nuclear facility.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties And Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote a safe work environment and a robust safety culture.
  • Develop, establish, and implement maintenance department policies, programs, and procedures, including the development and management of a nuclear facility work control and work management process.
  • Provide equipment maintainability expertise in support of the design and construction of the facility, such as: system descriptions, training materials, maintenance procedures, and system walk-downs.
  • Coordinate and ensure the proper planning, execution, and documentation of preventive and corrective maintenance for isotope production facility equipment in accordance with established processes.
  • Support warehousing, construction, and testing personnel and activities as needed by providing resources and coordinating specific scopes of work.
  • Interface with construction personnel to ensure a seamless transition between construction, testing, commissioning, and operations.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering and equipment vendor personnel to identify and expediently resolve technical issues discovered during testing and operations.
  • Work with quality department personnel to ensure validation and ongoing maintenance and calibration activities are completed accurately and in accordance with quality requirements.
  • Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire, and train new employees, or support those personnel processes.
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to maintenance staff.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or related technical field, or equivalency based on relevant job experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Navy Nuclear or nuclear facility engineering, operations, maintenance, or equivalent in an NRC or DOE regulated environment.
  • Technical understanding of nuclear facility technology, principles, and operation.
  • Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills.
  • Ability to work safety within an industrial and radiation environment.
  • The position may require non-standard work hours and shift work, including nights and weekends, on a periodic or occasional basis.
