Wound Care Tech C.N.A

The Wound Tech reports is responsible for providing primary skin care assistance wound nurse under the medical direction and supervisor of the residents’ attending physician, the Director of Nursing, or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• AUDIT LOW AIR LOSS MATTRESS (MAKE SURE WEIGHTS ARE UP TO DATE)
• AUDIT HEEL BOOTS (ENSURE RESIDENTS WHO HAVE ORDERS HAVE THE BOOTS)
• MONITOR LAL FOR DOUBLE PADDING
• APPLY PRVENTIVE DRESSING
• RESTOCK BARRIER CREAMS IN ROOMS
• RESTOCK WOUND CART
• PUT UP WOUND CARE SUPPLIES IN CABNET
• Implement wound care protocols
• INSERVICE CNAs
• REVIEW WOUND CARE WEEKLY SUPPLY LIST
