Perform and oversee a variety of general office support assignments which include answering incoming calls and making outbound calls, the processing of documents and recording, retrieving, and distribution of data or information.

The position acts as clerical and mail handling support for Collections. Among other duties, this position receives date-stamps and sorts incoming mail and out-going mail for Collections; retrieves faxes and distributes to applicable sections and other divisions if warranted; prepares documents for processing to external venders; takes telephone calls; and maintains office records. Also resolves power-of-attorney requests; processes requests for change of address; responds to claimants & and employers requests for forms, retrieves records for requests received in relation to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Subpoenas

Required Education And Experience

Education

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

Experience

General Office Assistant 5

No Specific Type Or Amount Of Experience Is Required.

General Office Assistant 6

One year of administrative support experience.

General Office Assistant E7

Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.
