Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm member appointments efficiently.
- Collect and verify insurance information; update member records in our EHR system.
- Track appointment attendance, cancellations, and no-shows.
- Create, organize, and maintain accurate member charts.
- Assist with compiling clinical documentation and other requested information.
- Scan and enter data/information accurately into electronic health records.
- Greet callers and guests in a professional and welcoming manner. Escort members to appointments as needed.
- Maintain open communication with staff to support seamless clinic operations.
- Uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards at all times.
- Follow all agency policies and licensing requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the program or department.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience in an office clerical setting preferred.
- Experience in medical or behavioral health environments strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card within 8 weeks of hire.
- TB Test clearance required at the time of hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Skilled in using EHR/EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintains calm under pressure and uses effective de-escalation techniques when needed.
- Commitment to ethical behavior and upholding the organization’s values and policies.
