Job Summary & Responsibilities

As a Biofuels Scheduler, you will work with the full team including marketing, planning, operations, and accounting. Our goal is to optimize our shipments to create the most value for POET and our customers. Sound intimidating? Don’t worry. Throughout this role you will:

  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with carriers, plants, and customers.
  • Manage product inventories across multiple sites based on a market point of view.
  • Understand the supply and demand factors that affect your region.
  • Ensure product deliveries are completed and optimized across the region.
  • Negotiate competitive truck rates with all our truck carriers.
  • Ensure accuracy of transaction details with our systems.
  • Collaborate across multiple business teams within the office and at production sites.
  • Problem-solve as situations arise with transportation providers, customers, and production sites.
  • Since we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skill may be put to a lot of other uses!

This is an on-site role located in Wichita, KS

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is required. An Associate’s degree/high school diploma may be considered.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change.
  • You communicate effectively in writing and in person.
  • You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You’re capable of learning new programs.
  • Up to 5% travel, to visit the bioprocessing facilities, carriers, and customers. At times overnight travel may be required.
