Essential Duties
- Acquires, maintains, teaches and demonstrates knowledge of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) and Sexual Harassment standards at care provider facilities, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
- Make sure staff provides educational services and assessments, including curriculum building Meeting Flores standards for education requirements.
- Oversees all incidents of review, documentation, and training of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) incidents as well as reporting responsibility.
- Acquires, maintains, teaches and demonstrates knowledge of evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care. And maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
- Ensures the coordination and compliance of the daily operations of the delivery of program/mental health services consistent with contracting agency requirements.
- Oversees client-centered service planning including effective advocacy, cross-team collaboration, and client empowerment.
- Meets regularly with other supervisors to ensure interdepartmental communication and consistency, integration of program and mental health functions, and to identify areas for improvement or further development.
- Participate in agency and organizational planning with other key staff and the Program VP, as well as implement and monitor program policies and procedures, which have been established by senior management
- Assists in the development and implementation of training programs and in-services for program staff and supervisors.
- Coordinates staff schedules and personal requests of direct reports.
- Sets clear, measurable and specific goals for assigned staff and meets weekly for review.
- Provides specific performance feedback to staff, both positive and corrective, as soon as possible after event or action.
- Oversees written evaluations, submitted evaluations and any rate change submissions for approval and presents evaluation to staff.
- Maintains a professional environment that is consistent with existing contracts, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
- Reviews and approves timely and accurate documentation of assigned staff.
- Monitors effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention of assigned staff.
- Provides daily updates to Program Director.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must possess ability to assess and plan for program needs at all levels. Position requires skills in personnel management, crisis management, and problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to relate objectively to staff. Experience working with culturally diverse/immigrant/refugee population is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated respect for, sensitivity to and knowledge of various cultural practices.
- Demonstrate the ability to positively interact with clients, their families, and all collateral contacts.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted California Driver’s License and maintain current vehicle insurance.
- Home office located in Fullerton, expected to report to the Moreno Valley location several times a month.
- BA/BS in Social Services, with a minimum of two years of experience supervising staff and experience working with children and families in crisis.
- Experience working with minority populations and delivering services in the community setting preferred.
- Bilingual in a threshold language of Spanish is preferred. Bilingual proven proficiency will result in additional stipend to base pay.
