The Procurement Team Lead is responsible leading a group of Procurement Agents responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and services in accordance with facility, departmental, and company goals. The Procurement Team Lead identifies opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements, working with a cross-functional team to drive operational excellence to ensure company mission success. Procurement Agents to meet or exceed individual and team-based performance metrics. Through active feedback, coaching, education and mentoring the Procurement Team Lead ensures Procurement Agents’ success and improved capability.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 4 to 6 years of work experience required, and 1 to 3 years of corporate purchasing and project management experience.

Travel: 10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages daily operations of the Procurement Agents.
  • Executes standard purchasing processes and strategies including procure-to-pay definition and optimization.
  • Builds organizational capability through recruitment, development, and retention of top talent.
  • Holds team accountable for accuracy and managing department monthly KPI metrics.
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities and assists in achieving yearly cost reduction targets set by Procurement Manager.
  • Works with Strategic Category Leads to identify key and preferred suppliers for key categories of spend that support business objectives.
  • Applies creative problem-solving techniques and ideas for incumbents’ area of responsibility.
  • Manages suppliers and their performance.
  • Identifies supply chain issues, bringing those challenges forward for visibility, awareness, and resolution.
  • Consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
