Primary Accountability
The Provider Scheduler is responsible for coordinating provider scheduling activities.
Description Of Primary Responsibilities

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use repetitive hand movement to type and grasp. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk; and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Min Hourly Rate: $21.56
Max Hourly Rate: $29.75
Primary Accountability
The Provider Scheduler is responsible for coordinating provider scheduling activities.
Description Of Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining provider scheduling with adherence to health center guidelines and coverage requirements.
- Drafts “Provider” and “On-Call” schedules to be finalized three months in advance.
- Coordinates schedule revisions in conjunction with Medical Directors.
- Opens new provider templates in electronic health record system.
- Reports shift differentials and other unique work hours to Payroll.
- Assists with the management and reporting of time off requests to payroll.
- Incorporates internal and external meetings from hospitals into provider schedules.
- Communicates with appropriate department to confirm existing and terminated providers.
- Responsible for processing revision requests and serves as the contact person between the Navigation Center and Medical Directors for all provider scheduling revisions.
- Communicates revisions to Navigation Center and impacted health centers in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional & Technical Knowledge:
- Possesses work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, including formal written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical, technical or health care related knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a trade school, para-professional, or certificate type program.
- Job duties require specific knowledge of scheduling processes and practices.
- Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel to review and compile data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables and other standard spreadsheet elements.
- Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Communications Skills
- Job duties require the compilation of information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation.
- Effectively conveys technical information to non-technical audiences.
