Hello! Thank you for your interest in joining the Wellspring team as a Youth Residential Behavioral Health Therapist. As a statewide nonprofit serving families in need of support, we take a whole-person approach to our organization and delivery of our services -- because we believe we must find the strengths in people and build on these for lasting change to occur.
When you join our team as a Youth Residential Behavioral Health Therapist, you'll be part of a team social workers, therapists and administrative professionals who are committed to supporting our staff in their work of serving children and their families in Farmington Hills, within our New Directions Campus. In this position, you must have a masters degree in social work or a human services related field and have a current LMSW, LPC, LLMSW or LLPC with the state of Michigan - supervision is included for limited licenses.
You will bring experience in providing clinical services to children and families in child welfare or with developmentally disabled youth and families. Other preferred experience includes clinical experience with adolescents with cognitive impairment and training/certification in evidence based practices such as TFCBT, EMDR, or DBT.

As a Youth Residential Behavioral Therapist, you will:
- Provide individual, family and group behavioral health counseling that is culturally relevant and trauma informed.
- Complete assessments and create treatment plans for the youth.
- Coordinate the delivery of services with other service providers both internally and externally to the agencies and area professionals and provide testimony in court where required.
- Provide advocacy services for clients and link people with area resources.
- Prepare reports (treatment plans, services plans, court reports, closure summaries) within the appropriate time frames.
- Maintain case files and documentation of client contact/activities
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures for delivering quality services.
- Supervise student interns as assigned.
