We are seeking a Licensed Recreational Therapist to join our behavioral health hospital in Garland, Texas.
- Provide therapeutic recreational activities for adolescent and adult patients, tailored to their physical, psychological, and developmental needs.
- Complete assessments, organize activities such as arts, crafts, sports, and social events, and supervise group sessions.
- Develop and implement treatment goals collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Manage program content, order supplies, and plan special events outside regular hours.
- Qualifications include a valid Certified Recreation Therapist license, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, and preferably CPR/HWC certification.
- Experience with psychiatric patient care and understanding of DSM V criteria is preferred.
