Primary purpose: Take and schedule requests for building materials from CSR's and Account Coordinators. Plan the timely building of the orders in the Yard and arrange product deliveries. Schedule returns from the jobsites. Invoice orders and credits in a timely manner.

Some duties and responsibilities include

  • Efficient Scheduling: Schedule deliveries and returns effectively, optimizing logistics for timely service.
  • Customer Engagement: Effectively listen and communicate with customers, CSR's, and Account Coordinators to meet their needs.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize Bis Track software to print delivery tickets, returns, and invoice customers accurately.
  • Dispatch Management: Track the status of all load building and deliveries in the Dispatch system to ensure smooth operations.
  • Multi-Location Collaboration: Work seamlessly with multiple locations to coordinate materials and deliveries.
  • Load Management: Oversee the loading of packages onto delivery trucks, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of 7 people to ensure a cohesive and productive work environment.
  • Package Assembly: Assemble building material packages as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and subcontractors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Customer Vehicle Loading: Assist customers in loading their materials onto their vehicles when necessary.
  • Flexibility: Be open to performing other duties as assigned to support the team and department.

Requirements

Qualification

  • Lumberyard Experience: Previous experience in lumberyard operations and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
  • Keyboarding Skills: Proficiency in keyboarding and computer usage.
  • Effective Communication: Skilled communicator in person, over the phone, and through email, with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with the ability to plan ahead and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Math Proficiency: Proficient math skills to handle calculations and measurements accurately.

Strongly Preferred

  • Customer-Focused: Direct experience with customers in the yard and on jobsites, with a deep familiarity with building products and their applications.
  • Logistics Expertise: Previous experience in load building, forklift operation, and delivery logistics.
