Job Summary:
Fast Enterprises is a provider of essential software and services for citizens and government, and they are seeking a Network Architect to join their Fast Hosting Services Team. The role involves designing, deploying, and supporting network infrastructure to enhance commercial-off-the-shelf software across various environments.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot issues related to network infrastructure and assist with network configuration.
• Monitor, analyze and respond to infrastructure events.
• Maintain an effective and secure network infrastructure.
• Maintain comprehensive network standards, policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery, as they relate to network infrastructure.
• Provide on-call support.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience with network equipment.
• 2-5 years of experience with network firewalls and threat prevention.
• 2-5 years of experience working in Information Technology.
• Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF).
• Strong understanding of enterprise-class networks, switches, and routers (Cisco, Arista).
• Strong experience with Next-Generation Firewall setup and configuration (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortigate).
• Strong experience with Load Balancer set up and configuration, including but not limited to alfex/irules, health monitors, VIPs (A10, F5).
• Strong understanding of network secure protocols (SSL/TLS, SSH, IPSec/VPN, Ciphers).
• Strong understanding of PKI (server certificates, mTLS, public key cryptography, OCSP, CRL).
• Strong troubleshooting skills using network monitoring tools and packet analysis (Wireshark, Syslog, etc.).
• Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment.
Preferred:
• Experience at a CCNA or CCNP level.
• Experience with AWS networking components.
• Experience with Azure networking components.
