Sourcing Engineer

Rosewell, GA(Onsite)

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Work as a sourcing engineer to perform below listed activities

• Create work packages based on client's input and share with offshore. Coordinate with offshore team for sourcing activities
• In parallel take up some work at onsite itself and
• Identify list of potential suppliers who are already in client approved supplier databased
• Also identify other BCC vendors for same catalogue specifications
• Work on getting quotes from different sources
• Coordinate internally with client stakeholders on their technical and commercial requirements
• Ensure identified vendors meet the client supplier quality requirements and process to get quotes from vendor
  
  

Key success factors

Quick timeframe of delivering and showing quick some wins to client and gain client confidence

Develop rapport with client and penetrate deeper in relationship and generate volume of business

Effective communication and ensuring offshore team fed with required data for smooth execution at offshore

Primary Activities

Drawing review/ Catalogue study & understanding the requirements

Define the required list of the documents for bundling the work packets to offshore

Identify potential suppliers from approved supplier list / BCC countries

Audit new suppliers as applicable either virtually or physically

Shortlist Supplier & follow-ups for all the sourcing activity until quotes are finalized and they are approved

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Electrical or Mechanical.
