Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Duluth is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Engineer.

Job Location: This position will be on-site at the Duluth, MN near Airport and Haines Road!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide engineering support to production lines and test equipment
  • Evaluate customer specifications and convert requirements into internal specifications for design, test, and manufacturing processes.
  • Improve quality and efficiency through process automation where practical.
  • Execute process validation activities including but not limited to pFMEA, Control Plan, GRR studies, etc.
  • Perform product testing, analyze test data, and publish test reports.
  • Recommend and oversee outside service providers for fabrication, testing, and other services.
  • Manage projects, develop project plans and lead project meetings.
  • Interpret failure data and initiate appropriate associated improvement actions.
  • Develops product and process performance measurements including generating monthly quality reports for management review, performing trend analysis of quality data, generating special quality reports for customers.
  • Seeks out areas of refinement of raw materials for cost reduction and quality improvement and works directly with supplies to identify/resolve quality issues
  • Assists in ISO-9001 and QS9000 audits.
  • Assists with quality surveys by customer or government teams.

What You Will Bring Along

  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or similar from an accredited university or college
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify root cause and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary

Pay Range: $65,000-80,000 per year based on experience. This is a full-time position.

The primary focus of this role will be in the quality engineering sector with a secondary focus in process engineering.
