Job Summary:

Abbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life. The Global Product Manager, Ablation will oversee product development and maintenance of cardiac ablation products, ensuring they meet customer needs and achieve sales targets. This role involves collaborating across various departments to implement product changes and commercialize innovative solutions in the Electrophysiology market.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee product development design from marketing perspective, to bring both innovative and iterative products to market that solve clinical challenges in Cardiac Electrophysiology procedures.

• Implement strategies to successfully commercialize these products globally.

• Identify product/service changes to meet customer needs and partner effectively with other areas of the organization (e.g., production, R&D, clinical affairs, regulatory) to implement these changes.

• Communicate customer needs effectively to the business and effectively prioritize the needs to meet market needs in a differentiated way.

• Develop a deep understanding of the market through analysis and evaluation of global trends, competitive intelligence and consumer behavior to identify new market opportunities for the product/service and generate new product ideas.

• Build coalitions with regional teams to drive product understanding and disseminate competitive intelligence to effectively position Abbott technologies in the market.

• Create financial and market analysis reports in support of new product development efforts.

• Prepare sales forecasts and budgets in support of product launches.

• Adapt plans to improve the sales performance of the product/service.

• Liaise with advertising and promotions specialists and regional marketing teams to design sales campaigns and sales collateral for the product/service that are effective and appropriate for the target audience.


Qualifications:


Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.

• 5-7+ years’ experience working in healthcare, medical devices, or technology-based products.

• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

• Strong personal initiative to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

• Prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner while balancing multiple tasks and projects.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

• Ability to travel up to 40%, including internationally.


Preferred:

• Strongly prefer prior 'upstream' or strategic product management experience.

• Master’s degree preferred.

• 3+ years minimum of sales, marketing, or clinical experience preferred.

• Experience in cardiac electrophysiology.
