In this hands-on role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarms, intrusion detection, access control, and surveillance systems for residential and commercial clients. Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and maintain fire alarm and security systems per code and manufacturer guidelines
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions effectively
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling for alarms, surveillance, and access control
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Maintain accurate documentation of services performed
• Deliver top-tier customer service and technical support
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire alarm and/or security system installation and service
• Proficiency with major alarm brands (e.g., Honeywell, Notifier, Silent Knight, Bosch)
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes, NEC standards, and local fire/building codes
• Low-voltage electrical experience required
• NICET Level I or II certification preferred
• OSHA safety training or manufacturer certifications a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
• Strong computer and networking skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Able to lift equipment (25 pounds), climb ladders, and work in varied environments
