Position Summary

The Human Resources Intern supports various administrative and daily activities of the HR department. This internship provides hands-on experience in HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance. The schedule and hours are flexible. This is an unpaid internship, but we offer valuable HR experience and exposure to many different areas in the field.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support new hire onboarding by preparing paperwork, coordinating/conducting orientation, and ensuring compliance with HR policies.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Research and support HR projects as needed.
  • Assist in tracking and organizing HR metrics and reports.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support the HR team in compliance and documentation efforts, including policy updates and record-keeping.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support HR and Recruitment functions.

Experience, Education, Certifications/Licenses

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Prior internship or relevant coursework in human resources, recruitment, or employee relations is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
