About The Role

As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely processing of invoices and vendor payments. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach, and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to process improvements and financial accuracy. You will collaborate with team members across finance, purchasing, and operations to ensure invoice processing, payment runs, and reconciliations are performed efficiently. This is an on-site role located in Chandler, AZ. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, is detail-oriented, and can manage multiple responsibilities with a proactive mindset.

What You’ll Do

• Manages a shared AP inbox – Monitors, responds, and routes invoice inquiries and requests
• Enters approved invoices – Inputs data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Yardi systems
• Reconciles vendor statements – Ensures accurate reporting through monthly reviews
• Maintains an open-issues list – Tracks and resolves invoice issues through coordination with purchasing
• Manages blocked items – Regularly identifies and unblocks items to support timely payments
• Co-manages payment runs – Assists with daily ACH and weekly check runs
• Handles vendor onboarding – Oversees onboarding and maintenance of vendor records
• Reconciles subledgers to general ledger – Prepares downloadable subledger data and supports audits
• Maintains monthly AP accruals – Prepares and updates entries as required
• Documents procedures – Creates and maintains detailed process instructions
• Performs additional tasks – Supports other accounting-related responsibilities as assigned
  
  

Who You Are

• Accounting Experience – Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Education – College diploma in accounting or related field preferred
• Technical Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (D365 preferred)
• Soft Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail, highly organized
• Work Style – Self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting
• Additional Requirements – Committed to workplace safety; regular onsite attendance required

Below is the expected base salary range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance
