$65,000 - $75,000 annually
JOB SUMMARY
As a Mechanical Test Engineer in Racine, WI, you will: lead hands-on testing efforts; create detailed test requests to ensure procedures and acceptance criteria are clearly defined; assign tasks to engineers or technicians based on expertise and workload; selecting, calibrating, and installing instrumentation such as accelerometers, microphones, pressure transducers, and speed sensors; prepare data acquisition systems; perform a wide range of tests on components, sub-systems, and full vehicles—from stationary investigations into engine vibration limits to dynamic suspension optimization and shift quality assessments under load; measure sound quality, power, pressure, and acoustic transmission, collaborating with Product Engineering to implement mitigation strategies and acoustic materials, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- 2+ years of previous mechanical test experience required
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with data acquisition tools such as LMS SCADAS, DEWEsoft, eDAQ, SQuadriga, or similar
- Experience with signal processing and sound quality analysis using Test.lab, ArtemiS or similar
- Agricultural, construction, automotive, or similar background preferred
- Direct experience in heavy equipment/off-road vehicle industry a strong plus
- Capable of working independently and as a team member
- Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
- Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Desire to work on a variety of projects
