Maintain Security and Compliance Standards (20%)

  • Implement and monitor security controls including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, IAM policies, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Utilize security monitoring systems to discover and remediate vulnerabilities (e.g. MS Defender, Splunk, Rapid 7)
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to support internal and external audits, providing documentation and insight into system configurations and controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a strong foundation in systems and infrastructure principles.

  • Practical knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes or Amazon ECS, with an emphasis on reliability and scalability.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using structured tools and methods (e.g., Jenkins, Octopus) to ensure consistency in deployments.
  • Proficient in scripting or programming languages, particularly Python, Bash, or Go, to support automation and tool development.
  • Solid background in Linux system administration.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards, including SOC 2, NIST, or CIS Benchmarks; experience with DevSecOps practices is valued.
  • Confident using Git and familiar with modern Git workflows (e.g., trunk-based development, GitOps) to maintain clean and auditable codebases.
