Position Overview
The Multimedia Specialist the brand consistency across all media platforms and is responsible for ensuring all creative assets/digital print & video are aligned to both our programs and messaging. This role manages digital and print media initiatives, drives audience engagement, and ensures consistent messaging that reflects the organization’s mission. The specialist stay current with industry tools and techniques to bring innovative ideas to projects and will work closely with internal teams, community partners, and media outlets to promote programs, events, and impact stories.

Content Creation & Design
22 - 27 USD per hour(Hempstead)

The specialist stay current with industry tools and techniques to bring innovative ideas to projects and will work closely with internal teams, community partners, and media outlets to promote programs, events, and impact stories.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Design
- Conceptualize, design, and produce multimedia materials including videos, photographs, graphics, and animations.
- Manage content calendars for email, social media, and web communications.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including flyers, presentations, media kits, and newsletters.
- Develop and maintain content templates, style guides, and brand-compliant assets.
- Manage the organization’s website design including (WordPress) timely updates.
- Work closely with program managers, communications teams, and leadership to translate ideas into compelling visuals.
- Assist in scheduling and deploying multimedia content accordingly to the marketing calendar as set forth by the Marketing & Communications Specialist.
- Managing multiple projects with deadlines, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Organize, archive, and manage media asset library.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing and communications (nonprofit experience preferred).
- Proficient in social media management, email marketing platforms, and content management systems.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, CapCut) is desired.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Passion for community engagement and mission-driven work
- Knowledge of basic photography and videography, preferred.

- Experience in nonprofit and/or education desired.
- Bilingual or multilingual not required but preferred.
