Summary

As a member of the Credit Risk Analytics team, the Risk Consultant II plays a key role in assisting the business partners through reporting and analysis to enable them to apply actionable insights to understand and improve business performance. The role will provide reporting and analytical services to various business lines for the management of risk issues, that include the identification of risk issues and development appropriate responses.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain credit risk models using SQL and other data tools to identify portfolio trends, risk concentrations, and emerging risks.
  • Contribute to data quality initiatives by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies and helping improve data quality related to credit risk.
  • Participate and lead initiatives focused on process improvement, risk challenge, or building analytical functions within an organization
  • Design and build dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to monitor portfolio performance and communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience producing and presenting analysis for internal or external clients, including executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk Analytics team members to execute & improve report development processes

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:

  • Bachelor (4-year college) degree and 4-6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, data mining, applied mathematics or other quantitative discipline
  • 4+ years of experience with banking and/or business intelligence experience
  • Previous roles in credit underwriting, banking analytics, risk management, or financial consulting, with an emphasis on insight generation and issue identification.
  • Proven ability to interpret, document, and communicate analysis of complex data in both written and visual formats.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and programming languages (ex: SAS, Java/Python)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
