The Security Service Dispatcher is Metro Fire’s first point of contact for emergency and non-emergency calls, monitoring routes, transferring messages, and directing technicians. In addition, the Dispatcher will be the point of contact for all National Accounts and will manage all necessary logistics for services needed. To be able to excel in this position, the desired candidate is able to multi-task in stressful conditions under little supervision, has excellent communication skills, and has strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and document important information through company software

Respond to any issues and follow-up by coordinating with appropriate technicians and/or departments

Call customers to set-up service and manage logistics of job (i.e., setting up lifts, securing equipment, obtaining building codes, etc.)

Enter data into company system and maintain logs, records of calls, activities and other required information

Manage logistics for all National Accounts (i.e., when equipment, parts, and technicians will be available to execute required services)

Build out contracts and ensure all services required are included in contract

Set up new customers in software (Profit Zoom) Update contacts and pertinent information as needed.

Complete Building Reports for buildings being serviced

Operate and manage a multi-line telephone console system

Use phone and computer system to direct technicians to the appropriate sites

Requirements

Perform other related duties as assigned or required

High school diploma/ GED

2+ year prior work experience

Able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk, working off dual-monitors

Able to work Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Able to multi-task and prioritize work according to urgency

Able to work well under pressure

High precision/ detail-oriented

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Fast typing with experience in data entry

Does not take short-cuts: work effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job

Preferred

Knowledge of security systems and tools

Experience working in Profit Zoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
