Summary
The Director of Membership & Group Sales will manage and oversee the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans to achieve sales targets for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. This role will lead and develop all ticket sales staff.

This is a salaried, exempt role and will pay an annual base salary between $90,000 - $110,000. Note: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.

The Director of Membership & Group Sales will manage and oversee the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans to achieve sales targets for the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. This role will lead and develop all ticket sales staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns to meet or exceed ticket sales revenue benchmarks in the areas of new season membership and group events for both the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits.
- Establish and manage revenue projections and build in measurement tools to ensure control of sales results.
- Hire, train and coach Membership Sales & Group Sales staff.
- Actively support the development of staff members by mentoring, providing direction and performance feedback.
- Support Membership Sales & Group Sales staff by focusing on intentional engagements to build customer relationships.
- Attend appointments with staff to drive new business and increase retention rates.
- Attend all Sabres and Bandits games and sales events to support staff and troubleshoot any customer service related issues and/or complaints.
- Responsible for researching and developing robust programming to aid in new sale efforts.
- Collaborate across departments to execute sales campaigns that drive awareness and build urgency.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business partners, other departments and the leadership team.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years in sports ticket sales/service experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of sales management experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Knowledge of TicketMasters, Archtics, KOR CRM system(s) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and lead by example.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, detail oriented, strong problem solving skills and decision making abilities.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
