Job Summary

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading/managing the supply management day-to-day efforts with your team and aligning with the business requirements and sourcing strategies in support of our growing business demands and organizational goals. This person will be responsible for leading the supply chain disciplines of purchasing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and production control. The Supply Chain Manager will lead the local supply chain to adhere to enterprise-level directives and strategies.

Job Duties

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to inventory levels, sourcing, and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
  • Develop and oversee a site-level supply chain team that manages the day-to-day supply management activities in support of enterprise/site needs.
  • Provide strategic direction, vision and leadership to the supply chain organization for the Bolingbrook facilities aligning cross-functionally on goals and efforts.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with the operation for the procurement of equipment, components and all goods and services for the manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and execute an inventory management strategy that aligns with enterprise goals while meeting site demands and adhering to space and process constraints.
  • Manage the Bolingbrook plant’s shipping, receiving and facility transfer operations.
  • Develop and execute the Bolingbrook plant’s production control processes and work closely with Bolingbrook Operations management and Sales management to drive adherence to the production schedule and meet customer needs.
  • Develop and execute individual and team goals/initiatives aligned with NCS Operations, Bolingbrook facilities, and the Enterprise Supply Management direction.

Job Description

  • Establish a multi-year cost reduction plan with realistic projected savings. Ensure reported savings are verifiable. Achieve significant ROI on the cost associated with direct and indirect material purchases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers while seeking new sourcing opportunities to ensure the company is receiving competitive quotes in support of their vision for growth.
  • Responsible for knowing and complying with company policies and procedures. Keeps the factory leadership informed of all significant problems, progress and difficulties pertaining to the administrator’s area of responsibility.
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
  • Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations or other related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and developing a Supply Management team.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply management preferred; CPSM/CPM certification and/or APICS certification a plus
  • Must have working knowledge of the complete range of supply planning, procurement, strategic sourcing tools and processes including spend analysis, strategy formulation, contract negotiations, strategic supplier relationship management, inventory management, and production control
  • Knowledge of ERP (NetSuite) tools and processes – execution and leverage.
  • Demonstrated lean experience and Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
  • Strong competency within MS Office (specifically Excel); basic accounting practices
  • Demonstrated understanding and use of software and analytics to manipulate, analyze and interpret data
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify, manage and lead business improvement projects. Expert in developing report tools to streamline day to day work
  • Ability to support travel with overnight stays
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
  • Comply with company rules, policies and decisions

Salary: range of $100,000 - $125,000 per year depending on qualifications
